ADA and universal docks/launches

The Great Pinery Heritage Waterway has standardized on EZ Dock’s Universal Dock/Launches and ADA Dock/Launches along the trail’s length that allow for easy entry and exit for older adults, children, and people with a disability or wheelchair bound, opening accessibility to the trail. Additionally, most landings have concrete ramps and traditional docks that aid the paddler for safe entry and exit of their paddle craft. Presently the trail has nine Universal Dock/Launches and three ADA Dock/Launches. All the Dock/Launches are located in the most heavily used areas of the trail system. Several civic organizations such as the Rotary Club, Kiwanis, and the Lions Club have funded these.
